Dear Pastors and Friends,

The young men here are constantly asking me about a wife, and what they should be looking for in one. I can think of no better example than my Bekah. I’m a blessed man!! Today we complete 15 years of marriage. It has been anything but boring. We have seen God do some incredible things. There is no other woman like her. She has literally followed me all over the globe. We have lived on 3 different continents and learned two foreign languages together. She has given birth to 6 children (all overseas and in some crazy circumstances).  We have experienced an unreasonable amount of God’s grace together. I surely do not praise God enough for her. I am a happy man and excited to see what God has in store for our next 15 years.

Today, I also finished teaching a sixteen week class at Bay Baptist College on hermeneutics. Actually, I missed 5 of those weeks due to being back stateside for my dad’s funeral. I am grateful to God for my friend and co-labourer, Josh Sullivan, who filled in for me during that time and kept us on schedule.

This past weekend 3 men trusted in Christ for salvation at Soweto Baptist Church. Andile (27 years old), Aphelele (21 years old), and Luyolo (18 years old). Lord willing, next week, the three of them will follow the Lord in baptism. All of them are currently being discipled by one of Soweto’s Bible college students, Lindokuhle. Also at Soweto, last week, we had our annual missions conference. We are waiting until this weekend to talley all the faith giving promises. Currently, the church supports two missionaries. The hope is for the church to be able to take on two new missionaries to support monthly.

The building projects at the school are complete (for now). The kids and staff are already  thoroughly enjoying the gym/auditorium. We had chapel in it today, and the students enjoyed a place to play during breaks out of the rain. We put a basketball goal up and they learned quickly how to play 21 (knockouts). This building is a huge blessing and we have even bigger plans for it’s use around the corner.

Big prayer request: We are earnestly seeking God’s direction for our next move. I am almost certain we will be starting a new, multi-cultural church in town; with church services in English and Sunday School in multiple languages (eventually). We are seriously considering starting at the school, in the area called Newton Park. Up to this point, all of our church planting efforts have been in the townships. This would be a major shift in our ministry.

This Friday, my nephew Chase Southard and his wife, Ashley, will arrive. They have finished up deputation and we are looking forward to them joining us. Please pray for them as they get their house set up, and soon begin to start language school. Also, we had a new intern arrive last week, Katherine Holt. She will be with us for the next two months. She has already plugged in well at the school and church, and has made many new friends as a result of her desire to learn the culture and language.

We appreciate so much your faithfulness to support our ministry through prayer and finances. God is good and He sees all that you do.

Thank you,
Jeremy and Rebekah Hall
