Dear Pastor and Friends,

VBS Soweto Baptist Church: We had over 150 kids attend who heard the gospel many times. There were more than a dozen professions of faith. It’s bitter sweet, as we will be leaving Soweto Baptist Church soon to start a new church in a different area of the city. Pastor Mxolisi Dama and his wife Milisa are doing a great job (saved baptized and married in Soweto BC). We are excited to get out of their way and see how God continues to use them to build His Kingdom. Speaking of, God added several teens to His family last month in Soweto who will follow Him in believers baptism next Sunday. Also, Pastor Mxolisi’s son, DJ (13 years old picture below), had the privilege to lead 3 kids to the Lord in children’s church last week, who came through VBS.

Bay Baptist Language School / Bay Baptist Academy / New Interns Arriving: As we are waiting on permission from the government to use the property for a high school, we are redeeming the time (and the property) as we are currently using it to host the language school. Last week, my nephew Chase Southard and his wife, Ashley, began their studies of isiXhosa. Please pray for them, as well as the Byerly family, while they learn this language in order to share the gospel and help start more churches.

There are many new modifications and additions that have been made to the school property, on both the high school side and the primary side. Since last month, we demolished a few walls and added one to make a teachers lounge. On the high school side, we added a whole flatlet (apartment) for a new intern, Josiah Jaster from MI, who will be arriving next week. This addition will allow us to generate a little monthly income, which will help supplement the cost for the new students we hope to bring in next year.

Winter Teen Camp / Short Term Missions Trip: Our churches here, along with a group of 23 from Southside Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN, held a winter teen camp last month. We had 88 teen campers attend, of which 8 made professions of faith in Jesus. On Tuesday, we will host another group of 7 from Clute, TX. Please pray the Lord uses this time in each of their lives to open their eyes to the possibility of being used as a foreign missionary, and to see the nations reached for Christ.

Thank you for your continued support for our ministry. We love you and appreciate all that you do for us and the furtherance of the Gospel.

Sincerely,
Jeremy and Rebekah Hall
