Dear Pastor and Friends,
We kicked off the new semester at Bay Baptist Bible College this past Tuesday in our newly renovated facilities. My brother, Kevin, dedicated countless hours to transforming the grounds and buildings, ensuring everything was ready. I’m excited to be teaching The New Testament Epistles (I) class every Tuesday for two hours, where we’re fortunate to have 15 young people preparing for full-time ministry. Please pray for perseverance and protection for the students and the staff in this spiritual battle.

At NPBC, we’re currently journeying through the Gospel of John on Sunday mornings and have reached chapter 16. We recently wrapped up a series on Philippians and have now launched a new series titled “Focusing on Discipleship: Our Priority Ministry” on Sunday evenings. Over the past six months, our congregation has been growing steadily, and this past Sunday we saw our highest attendance for a normal service with 58 people. Please pray for souls to be saved and for continued growth (spiritually and numerically) in this church plant.
Upcoming events: HBC -We’re excited for our first Holiday Bible Club (similar to VBS) from September 26-28, coinciding with the school’s spring break next month.

Please keep Bay Baptist Academy in your prayers. The students are thriving and maturing, and we’re seeking the right new students for 2025 as well as qualified staff members. Our most experienced staff member, Mrs. Theron, will be retiring at the end of the year, and while she is irreplaceable, we pray that God provides someone to fill her role. We also need prayer for the visa paperwork for our American staffers and those in transit, who are still raising their funds. We have specific monetary needs: a new transport van ($15,000), a pavilion for shaded breaks and lunches ($2,800), and two new classrooms ($18,000).

Family update: Our three boys just finished their rugby season last week. I’ll be honest, watching their games has been a joy, though it made for a very busy schedule with practices 2-3 times a week and games taking up half of every Saturday. Bekah and I are blessed to serve together and with our children. It is awesome seeing them all grow and serve. Olivia occasionally helps teach younger children and is actively involved in our church’s music ministry. Brayden plays guitar during services, helps organise our order of service, and teaches guitar lessons. Jackson manages our sound booth, while Michaela assists in the nursery when needed. And Bo, our friendly greeter, ensures that no one walks into church without a warm welcome.
From November 26 – January 6, my family will be stateside for a brief visit. Given the current state of the church and school, a full furlough isn’t feasible right now, so we opted for a visit during the school holidays. If your church would like a visit and update on our ministry, please get in touch.
Thanks for your continued financial support and prayers!
Sincerely,
Jeremy and Rebekah
