Bay Baptist Academy

God is hearing and answering our prayers. The Lord is blessing and supplying. We are now at $18,000 raised, leaving us with $57k needed to reach our goal by November 1st. Lord willing, we will start Bay Baptist Academy in January 2022. Last month, my wife and I had the opportunity to meet with one of the future teachers and key personnel of the school, Katie Dilfer. She is doing a fantastic job raising funds and hopefully will be able to leave with us on November 1st. Pray her support comes in and God uses her as she raises awareness for the need of the Gospel in South Africa. Also, I had the privilege to cross paths with the executive director of MI Christian Schools. He is willing to invest, train and guide us through the process of starting the school. He has already helped establish another school in Cape Town, SA.

Travels

Last month we were, for the most part, local with the exception of a week long trip to Texas. We started this month with a missions conference in Corunna, Michigan. After that we were blessed to have a three day break, so we planned a getaway to Snowshoe, WV. I took the kids snow skiing. All seemed like naturals, and picked it up quickly. Yesterday, we had the opportunity to visit a supporting church in West Virginia. Next week we will be in a five day conference in North Carolina, and then we will finish off the month preaching a missions conference in Tennessee.

Soweto Baptist Church

Things are picking back up since most of the restrictions had been lifted last month. The attendance is still down a little, but last week Pastor Mxolisi informed me that they had 60 in attendance for Sunday morning. Also, they baptized two who had made professions of faith last month; Mama Nomhle and one of the teens who has attended for years, Lutho.

Bayland Baptist Church

This brand new church plant is picking up momentum. At the moment, there is only one service a week, with Bible studies held on other days of the week. Please continue to pray for growth in the leadership and for souls to be saved. (Click here to view Bayland BC)
Other Prayer Request

  • Bible Institute: There are currently 10 from these two churches studying in our bible institute; 7 from Soweto and 3 from Bayland. Pray all continue strong and grow in the grace of our Savior.
  • We are making plans now for a short-term missions trip to South Africa which I will lead, tentatively June 21-July 1. Several have expressed a desire to go. If you are one who would like to join us, please write me at jhsouthafrica@gmail.com.
  • Next month, I will have the opportunity to teach at our home church’s marriage retreat. Pray the Lord uses this time to strengthen all the families for His glory.

Thank you for your faithfulness to pray and support our ministry.

Sincerely,
Jeremy and Rebekah Hall
