We have only 47 days remaining until we return to South Africa! We return to the field on Nov 3. Things are a little crazy for us until then. We still have 21 days of meetings, have to get our house packed up, visit some family, and hopefully finish up the homeschool year with our four oldest kids before then. It has been a good furlough; we have had safe travels, raised some needed support, and seen two families (Blaine Hooper Family, and the Chase Southard family), and one individual (Amanda Baines) commit to advancing the Gospel in South Africa. Please continue to pray for more laborers. Your prayers are working!

Currently, we have $110,475.00 raised toward Bay Baptist Academy’s property and supplies. We have decided to wait until our return to continue our search for the right property. God has supplied a temporary building for us to use for the 2022 school year. We are no longer in a frantic rush to find a building for the 21 students that we have registered so far to start school in January. This does open up new possibilities, one being purchasing a piece of property and building a structure exactly suited to our needs. Whether we end up building or buying an existing structure, our need will be closer to $300,000+. Please continue to pray that the Lord will direct us to the right location for our facilities and supply what we need to train these children in the Word.

A very specific prayer request and special need: Amanda Baines has 9 years experience teaching school in York, SC. She believes the Lord is calling her to volunteer her time to help start BBA. She has decided to donate at least one year to working at the school. She is currently raising personal funds and hopes to join us the second week of December. Amanda is trying to secure a minimum of $1,000 a month support, plus airfair, so as not to be a burden on us. I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider a one-time donation, or a monthly donation to help her with travel cost, and monthly expenses. If you would like to make a donation you can send it to VBM, mark the memo with “BBA – Amanda Baines”.

Please continue to pray for the leadership in our church back in SA. We are anxious to get back to work in the church. Pastor Mxolisi Dama is doing a fantastic job. Even with all this COVID mess and restrictions there, he is averaging between 50-60 in attendance. Pray the Lord continues to grow him and allows him to see souls saved there at Soweto Baptist Church. Pray also for Bayland Baptist Church, for Buthi uThando, Siphelo, Likhaya and Mama Bonelwa, as they help Pastor Mxolisi minister the Word.
