Bay Baptist Academy Update:
Things are becoming a little more routine, which is nice. Most of our building projects have either been completed, or put on hold until we get permission through the town planner and rezoning committee to continue. Presently, we have submitted all paperwork to register the school, and to have the property rezoned. We were given permission from the health inspector to continue on with business as usual with up to 30 students. Currently, we have 25 students. Please continue to pray for favor with the government, and for finances to build a smaller assembly hall which will hold up to 60 students. This will only cost approximately $6,800 since we already have the concrete slab laid. Also, last week I enrolled 3 new students who need scholarships. If you are interest in helping with a full ($130 a month) or partial scholarship, please send any donation to VBM labeled BayBaptistAcademy.

(Finished, for now, with the parking lot and the entrance)

(Future small assembly hall, $6,800 needed to complete the project)

Evangelistic Outreach: This week we had a meeting with the heads of operation from three local hospitals to discuss the plans for our next medical clinic. Lord willing, we will be hosting a group of medical professionals with Medical Missions Outreach in August. Two of the three students enrolled in our christian school just last week, have mother’s who were saved at the last clinic we hosted in 2019. We are excited to see how God uses this to grow His church. Please pray for all the logistics, which my cousin, Mark Coffey, is handling. Click here to get more information.

Bayland Baptist Church: We started our midweek service at the beginning of February. I personally have been teaching on the doctrine of the family, from Genesis 1. We started a new members class, as well, and we currently have 3 adults, and several teens who have been attending. March 13th we plan to have our first baptismal service.

Soweto Baptist Church: This church currently has one young man enrolled in Bay Baptist College, studying and preparing to be a pastor, Lindokuhle Maphanga. There are several young men studying in the Bibile Institute. Please continue to pray that the Lord would raise up laborers through this church.

Visas: Last week, we had to take one of our interns, Amanda Baine to George (a town about four hours from ours) to apply for an extension on her visa. She was able to submit her paper work and now we pray God makes a way for her to continue to serve with us through December. She has been a tremendous help in starting the School. Also, my whole family’s visas expire in April. We have our appointments for renewal on March 18th. Please pray those go through smoothly.

(Enjoyed a quick stop by the Knysna Heads on the way home for George)

Other Prayer Requests:

  • Soweto Baptist church will host the BFWE (Baptist Fellowship for World Evangelism) quarterly combined youth meeting on March 25th.
  • Continue to pray for my nephew, Chase Southard, and his wife, Ashley, as they raise funds to join us here in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth): Also, for Lynette Osborn as she does the same.
  • Katie Dilfer has raised her support and is now only waiting on her visa approval
  • Blaine Hooper family as they continue to prepare in our home church to serve with us in the future
  • My brother, Kevin Hall, and Bay Baptist College. We want to see many more young men and women receive preparation for the work of the ministry.

Thank you for all that you do!

Sincerely,

Jeremy and Rebekah Hall
